Thanks for visiting my portfolio! As a lifelong learner, I seek opportunities to expand my skills and evolve as a person. After fifteen years of teaching art, I am applying the empathy, systems thinking, and visual skills I've honed to UX Design.

I love the intersection of art and science. When I'm not designing UX, you can find me exploring with watercolor and ink, doing somatic work, or dancing around the house with my husband and my toddler.

Values

Presence

Being present is one of my life goals. I find it can be a portal into the richness of each moment in life, to more deeply engage with our world. For me, presence often leads to greater clarity in the creative process. In truly showing up to notice, to listen, to tune into the subtle details, we can ask: What resonates here? What are we working with here?

Process

I love the vitality and complexity of process. I love how messy it can get while also building systems to give a process some structure and order. The discoveries that can come from an unexpected turn in the umpteenth iteration are what made UX Design so exciting and fulfilling. Trusting the process is what yields transformation.

Curiosity

Curiosity is my utmost favorite value. If you asked me who I am, in my very core, I would tell you that I am a curious being. I am a dreamer, an investigator, an explorer. There is a transformational power to following curiosity and asking questions. Curiosity invites us to meet the unknown, and consider multiple perspectives. It offers an open-mindedness, creativity, and growth. Ultimately, for me, curiosity is a way to connect and play.
