PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Product
A website revamp for Into the Wonder, a spiritual counselor. The site features services and a bookings page.

The Problem
The client was seeking an update to their website to streamline and simplify the site. They felt the previous version of the site had too much information and needed editing. They wanted to add a book services feature as well.

Project Duration
4 Months: March through June 2024

The Goal
To offer users (as both established and potential new clients) a place where they can book services, as well as explore service options and learn more about Chris, the Spiritual Counselor.

My Role
This was a freelance project where I was the only UX designer. I worked directly with the client. It was an opportunity to collaborate on each step of the design thinking process.
Responsibilities

-
Define the problem and provide insights to inform the ideation phase
-
Conduct a competitive audit
-
Define personas and user flows
-
Visual design of wireframes, and prototypes
PAIN POINTS
Inquiry
1
Users are seeking more information about the services to see if it aligns with what they're looking for.
2
Booking
Users seek a place to book their sessions and keep track of upcoming appointments.

SITEMAP
I built user-focused flows to ensure that the personas will be able to successfully complete their key objectives while reducing their pain points.

PAPER WIREFRAMES

ITERATIONS
I presented the client with options for a call to action "Book Now" button in the menu, for clear and smooth user flow.

MOCKUPS
The client's requested a tone that conveyed magic, mystery, safety, and connection in the website. We selected imagery of nature, and cool colors to express this.

TAKEAWAYS
Impact

The purpose of this website is to provide a streamlined user experience where potential and current clients can learn about the counselor offering the services, learn about the services themselves, and to book the services.

What I learned
This was a truly collaborative product. I had an opportunity to create systems for work flow, to communicate timelines and talk through the decisions in the process. The most significant challenge for me was finding a place to meet the client's color palette preferences, which varied from my own initial inklings. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
